According to Tuttosport, Manchester United has made a €65m bid for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar. The centre-back has been a player of interest because he is dependable and the Slovakian has been on United’s radar for some time.

But unfortunately, Skriniar recently signed a new contract at the San Siro. However, Tuttosport has suggested Inter may consider selling Skriniar because the 25-year-old hasn’t been able fit into Antonio Conte’s defense. The defender has also had a disappointing run of games in the past few months, and because of that his asking price maybe reduced compared to what it was six months ago.

Manchester United isn’t the only team that’s chasing the Slovakian. Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are also interested in his services. So this means that Inter will have evaluate any offers that they receive this summer.

I think that United should get Kalidou Koulibaly if we can. There could be other affordable top defenders that we can sign at the centre-back position that will be a good fit for United. I believe that we should try to sign him if the terms and conditions of a potential deal is right.

We don’t want to discount a candidate for the team if they they have experience, are capable of doing the job well and has the ability to play at a high level. It will be interesting to see if United tries to sign a centre-back, because virtually all the news reports have said that Ole wants to sign a winger, a central midfielder and striker this season. So we’ll see what players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signs after the end of the season.
