Report: Brighton Hove & Albion 0 Man Utd 3

Manchester United were winners today in their Premier League encounter after they defeated Brighton Hove & Albion 3-0 at the American Express Community stadium. Thanks to two goals from Bruno Fernandes and one from Mason Greenwood.

United now has gone 15 games unbeaten in all competitions and are back in 5th place. Manchester United dominated the match from the start with Fernandes rocking the post with a powerful shot from 20 meters outside the box. After that Mason Greenwood was the man to break the deadlock for visitors in the 16th minute after a solo run with a left-footed drive inside the near post.

Bruno Fernandes would make it 2-0 with his deflected shot in the 29th minute following a wonderful build-up. After that Luke Shaw ran down the left flank and the ball fell to the Portuguese player on the edge of the penalty area. The form of Bruno Fernandes has continued to be fantastic since he arrived from Sporting Lisbon. He also has good chemistry with Paul Pogba in midfield which is a big plus for United.

The third goal was a beauty when Nemanja Matic sparked a counter-attack with an exceptional long ball that found Greenwood surging forward and he produced a sublime pass to Fernandes to volley past keeper Matthew Ryan. Daniel James missed a chance to grab a fourth for his team in the 86th minute when he only had Ryan to beat, but the keeper denied him instead with an excellent save.

Manchester United under Solskjaer is looking even better than when we embarked on that long unbeaten streak in Solskjaer’s first two and a half months at the club before things fell apart for us. I believe that playing Pogba and Fernandes is a given now and Matic can’t be denied playing time either with his superb performances in midfield.

All in all, things are looking great for United and I hope that they can win the FA Cup and the Europa League at the end of the season.
