If Manchester United wants to secure the services of Jadon Sancho they would have to pay a price of £115 to get him. However according to The Sun Manchester United are wary of committing themselves to such a deal.
The Telegraph suggests that Borussia Dortmund has placed this price tag. The report adds that would see United break the record for the Premier League’s most expensive signing. United wants to see the transfer market unfolds in the present climate before making a decision.
To pay that amount of money to secure one of Europe’s best players I can understand why they would be hesitant to sign him. Even though the club is very interested in him, they have to figure out how to obviously to not breach the FIFA financial fair play rules. Making a decision to sign Sancho could disrupt the wage structure of the club negatively. Because there are other highly-payed players on the squad like Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez.
For the whole spring the media has linked Sancho to Old Trafford. As we get closer to the summer transfer window. Hopefully we can sign him without any financial consequences from FIFA, and that United can afford him.
I won’t be surprised if United asks Dortmund to lower that price tag. Then we have to think about the fact that the coronavirus has negatively affected every club in the world financially. I’m optimistic that United will eventually sign him because we are the clear favourites.
Do you think United should pay £115m for Jadon Sancho? Or should they pursue someone cheaper?
