Manchester United’s youngsters Brandon Williams and Dean Henderson are in line for new contracts according to ESPN. Both players have signed long-term contracts within the last 12 months.
However the club are considering new terms as a reward for the excellence they have shown in their development. Williams, 19, signed a contract in October but negoatiations would bring his wage closer to the levels of striker Mason Greenwood and winger Tahith Chong.
Henderson, 23, has spent the season on loan at Sheffield United. His performances has garnered interest from Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, as well as England manager Gareth Southgate.
Henderson has made 27 appearances this season and Sheffield United has the second-best defensive record in the division behind leaders Liverpool. Both players are important to Solskjaer’s long-term vision.
This is very good news for the long-term future of not only both players, but for the club as well. I have been impressed with Henderson and Williams this season and they are just growing from strength to strength in their careers so far. I think that Dean Henderson can definitely take over the No. 1 spot from David De Gea in the future, especially if he had another bad dip in form where he makes anymore costly mistakes.
Brandon Williams has been nothing but excellent in his performances for United thus far this campaign. He has good poise, can pass the ball well, has the potential to score goals, He’s humble and doesn’t fear anyone one that comes up against. He’s a fine young player.
