Manchester United have confirmed the extension of Odion Ighalo’s loan deal. The Nigerian striker will now stay with the Red Devils up to January 30, 2021. His loan deal was supposed end on May 31, but United was able to strike a deal in order for the striker to extend his stay.

Since arriving at Old Trafford Ighalo has scored 4 goals in 8 appearances. He won United’s Goal of the Month award for March with a wonderful strike in United’s last match in a resounding 5-0 victory over Austrian club LASK in the Europa league.

Ighalo now has a chance to add to his tally when the Reds are supposed to play on June 17 in the Premier League and the FA Cup quater-finals that are lined up for the weekend of June 27 and 28. All of those fixtures are yet to be finalised.

I am delighted along with all United fans around the world that Manchester United were able to secure the services of Odion Ighalo for several months longer. I wish him continued success and that he continues to grow from strength to strength.
