Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Victor Lindelof could return to the team for Thursday’s Europa League game against Club Brugge, but United will be without Mason Greenwood.
The game will kick-off at 1:55 pm ET in the US and at 17:55 GMT. The referee will be Aleksei Kulbakov. you watch all the action on BT Sport 2 in the UK. You can also watch it on MUTV.
Lindelof missed United’s 2-0 victory over Chelsea on Monday evening, but travelled with the squad to Belgium ahead of the first leg of our last 32 tie against Brugge.
But, the boss won’t be able to call upon Mason Greenwood and Scott McTominay, who both will stay in Manchester. Solskjaer hinted that he plans to rotate his team somewhat for the game, in which Odion Ighalo could make his first start for the club.
“I’m not going to tell the team today.” said Solskjaer . But we’re going to have to rotate with all the games we’ve got coming up and yeah, he’s one of them that could start. We’ve not 100 percent decided as yet.”
Scott McTominay returned to full training in the final session before the squad left for Belgium. This is welcome boost for the team, but this game against the Belgian side has come to early for the midfielder. The boss also confirmed that Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford remains unavailable for the forseeable future.
“I would hope that Marcus is playing this season,” he added. “It’ll just be touch-and-go towards the end. So hopefully we can go through and get through this tournament and prolong the season.”
“It takes time. I’ not a doctor, but obviously I was hoping that he would recover quicker than it actually looks like he is going to be out for. So another few months definitely.”
“Paul has not been a part of the team training yet, so it’ll depend on how he feels or when he feels ready to do that, so he’s not anywhere near that yet.”
