Sky Sports revealed that Manchester United’s January signing Odion Ighalo will be in the team for the clash with Chelsea on Monday 17th later this month. This is despite missing out on the warm weather trip with the rest of the squad to Marbella, Spain.
Because of the coronavirus he didn’t travel to Spain. Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said over the weekend that the club had to leave Ighalo in the UK as they were unsure whether he would be allowed to re-enter the country, having arrived from China in the previous fortnight.
Solskjaer confirmed that the striker will be available for the Chelsea game.
“Yeah, he is going to travel with us,” he told club media.”
“We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp.”
“We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”
This is great news for all United fans because we need him as as soon as possible in the squad. The fact that he has this burning desire to play and to help Manchester United win could only be a plus for everyone. Ighalo has been a fan of the club since childhood and spoke about his eagerness to play for United some years ago in interviews.
With Ighalo and Fernandes at the club now it gives a boost to the fans around the world and the team also. I can’t wait to see them together on the pitch at the same time. There is a possibility that we could see good chemistry between them, which could have positive results.
