After enjoying 4-1 win at Old Trafford over Newcastle on Boxing Day, Manchester United will be looking forward to another victory at Turf Moor against Burnley. The Premier league match will be televised at 19:45 GMT in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. In the US the match will be shown at 2:45pm ET on NBC. Mike Dean will be the referee.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that midfielder Scott McTominay suffered an injury during the Boxing Day win over Newcastle United. He picked up the injury after he flew in with a challenge against Sean Longstaff. Ole suspects that he suffered some form of knee ligament damage. He was seen leaving Old Trafford on crutches.
Solskjaer spoke at the post-match press conference and gave an update to reporters. “He’s done his ligament in his knee, probably. We don’t know how bad it is, so let’s see.
“The boy has got the biggest heart of the lot. He played until half-time but we know when they stiffen up after. We’ll have to find out tomorrow, how he is.”
“You see the attitude of the kid, of everyone, in the beginning of the game. I’m not sure if he’ll be ready for Saturday [against Burnley]. Probably not, but we’ve seen him recover before.”
