Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke about United’s game ahead of the clash with AZ Alkmaar on Thursday in the Europa League.
United needs to obtain at least a point to finish top of the table. If Az Alkmaar wins then they will win the group. The draw for the next round will be on Monday. The manager had this to say regarding the injury situation in the team.
“Diogo [Dalot] is back training fully.” he told MUTV. “Nemanja [Matic] is back. [Marcos] Rojo is hopefully back next week. Eric [Bailly] and Timothy [Fosu-Mensah] are training with the team from next week onwards.”
“We’re getting better and better in that respect. In January, I reckon we will have many of them match fit.”
Paul Pogba hasn’t fully recovered yet from an ankle problem.
“Paul is not ready to play but won’t be far away,” added the manager.
Ole confirmed that Matic will feature in the game when he spoke about his plans during the pre-match press conference, but Jesse Lingard sat out the training session afterwards.
James Garner was substituted in the Under-23’s 3-1 win over West Brom on Monday night and may play in the game.
AZ Alkmaar forward Myron Boadu is suspended and Greek defender Pantelis Hatzidiakos is sidelined with a knee injury.
