David De Gea will be absent for the Liverpool game after he picked up a muscle problem for Spain in an international match. The injury isn’t too serious according to Ole.
“Well I don’t expect him to play, but it wasn’t as bad as I feared,” Ole said in a press conference to reporters.
“When I saw the game, I thought that’s him out until the next international break, because we’ve had some long-term muscle injuries, but its not as bad as feared.”
Paul Pogba will be out for this match, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could return after being out with tonsillitis, and Luke Shaw may have a chance to return. There has been no further update on the fitness of Anthony Martial. Ole suggested on Wednesday that Martial could play some part against Liverpool after he returned to training following a thigh problem.
