Manchester United’s Under-23 goalkeeper Matej Kovar has signed a new contract with Manchester United. The young 19-year-old goalie was rewarded for his excellent performances in both the Premier League 2 and the Leasing.com Trophy win at Lincoln City. He finalised the deal before joining up with the Czech Republic Under-21 squad.
He joined the club during the winter transfer window in 2018 from FC Slovacko. His most notable achievement was when he saved a penalty to earn three points against Fulham’s Under-23s last month. Kovar also received the Man of the Match performance in the Leasing.com trophy win at Lincoln City.
