Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says that Luke Shaw will miss United’s away game to West Ham on Sunday. Shaw has missed the last three games and he won’t be ready in time for this one either. The match will commence at 9 am ET in the US and at 12:30 BST. Also Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial will miss the match at the London stadium. The boss was asked whether both French players would be able to play.

Ole replied by saying: “Not really no. They have not been training yet.”

“Luke won’t be ready,” he added.

Ole also gave an update on the status of winger Daniel James who suffered an ankle injury in last week’s game against Leicester City.

” I don’t know if he’ll be fit,” Ole admitted. “He’s not trained for the past few days. Hopefully he will , but we’re not sure. We will have a recovery day tomorrow [Friday] and see on Saturday. James missed the Astana game also.

Ole is expected to feature the same players that were on the field for the Leicester game, with Andreas Pereira and Aaron Wan-Bissaka who could return.

The boss told MUTV: “Andreas and Aaron trained today [Thursday] so they should be ready and the rest of the them were on the bench.”

David De Gea and Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire are likely to return for this match.

As for the Hammers, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini will be without Arthur Masuaka after he was dismissed from the Aston Villa game on Monday. The Hammers may start Aaron Cresswell instead of Pablo Zabaleta.

Pellegrini may not have Manuel Lanzini available after he sustained a knock recently.

“Manuel Lanzini has a small problem that we will review before the game, so we must wait tomorrow,”said the West Ham manager.

Winston Reid and Michail Antonio are both long-term absentees.
