According to MUFCLatest it seems as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to get rid of Alexis Sanchez before the transfer window closes in most of Europe.
Roma is the only club it seems that has shown interest in the Chilean striker. Manchester City ended their interest in the player and so far United is stuck with Sanchez. Just recently allegedly there was a bust-up between 17-year-old striker Mason Greenwood and Sanchez on the training field.
It has been reported that Solskjaer will send the Chilean to the reserves if he doesn’t agree to leave this summer. The transfer window for most of Europe closes on September 2. So it would seem that Sanchez may not have a future at the club.
When Alexis Sanchez signed his contract in January of 2018, he was being paid £350,000-per-week. But with bonuses and image rights payments the Chilean is raking in around £500,000-a-week all included. So the fact that he has been injured often and when he does play he can’t seem to regain his form is an extremely poor return on the value of his contract. But United also needs to balance the books because they are overpaying him.
I hope that he gets sold because I don’t think that this situation is ever going to work out for Manchester United. He’s the one who is getting paid huge sums of money whether he plays or not. So this is clearly a situation that shows that he must be sold. He is of no good use to us. But on the other hand very few clubs are interested in Sanchez besides Roma, because of his insanely high wages and he’s mostly injured and has poor form.
Even though he gets sent to the reserves, United is still stuck with him. Hopefully this would force Sanchez and his agent to find some way, if any to have the striker leave the club. It would be in the best interests of everyone for Sanchez to leave.
