The transfer of Swansea winger Daniel James is almost complete according to Talksport.

Manchester United had already agreed personal terms with James. The deal was to be completed, but suddenly the Welshman’s father passed away last week. So that has placed a temporary hold on talks. The fee is around £15 million, and potentially rising to £20 million including add-ons.

The Mirror reports that Edinson Cavani will turn down an offer from United. He is contracted with PSG until the summer of 2020. The Uruguayan striker had 23 goals and 9 assists in 33 games in all competitions for the Parisian club.

Edinson Cavani was linked in the past with United but there were never any real truth to them. There was no evidence to really support those claims. I don’t even think that Cavani was actually interested in coming to United. Cavani always seemed to be happy there and he never left PSG.

He’s also 32, and so that goes against the United’s new club’s policy of buying young players from around the age of 18-25. I know that we’re looking for a young striker and I hope that we get that player in as soon as possible.
