In United’s final game of the season Ole has promised that he’ll involve some young players in the line-up. James Garner, Dylan Levitt, Arnau Puigmal, Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and Mason Greenwood all trained and worked with the senior players this week.
Antonio Valencia could make a farewell appearance if he proves his match fitness. Unfortunately, Eric Bailly will miss the final league match along with the Africa Cup of Nations as he tries to recover from a knee injury. Alexis Sanchez is a doubt, because he sustained an ankle injury in last weekend’s draw against Huddersfield. Jesse Lingard may return because he was absent through injury, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial are doubtful for this game.
Cardiff City has doubts over some players as well. Sol Bamba, has been out since March with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Defender Callum Paterson joins Bamba also as the Scotsman recuperates from an ankle injury. Both Joe Ralls (hamstring) and Matthew Connolly (dislocated ankle) will miss Sunday’s match also. Victor Camarasa could make his return to the side. He suffered a dead leg early on in last week’s 3-2 defeat at home to Crystal Palace, but may return for this final game of the season.
Jon Moss will be the referee and the match will be at 10 am ET in the US on the USA channel.
