This season has seen Romelu Lukaku’s inconsistency become an issue for Manchester United again. Last season he would fail to score sometimes several times in a row before finding the back of the net again. Although currently his form is excellent, we know that he could go missing in action for long periods. The Belgian striker is now being linked with an exit from the club according to the Manchester Evening News. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-lukaku-15843847. United are contemplating moves for Argentine strikers Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi this summer.
Both Icardi who plays for Inter Milan and Dybala of Juventus are fantastic targets because they are more consistent and they are better quality strikers than Lukaku. I love the way how they are constant threats in and around the box and their passing and movement on and off the ball is very good also. The problem with Lukaku is that he doesn’t always make runs into the box and is sometimes termed as being lazy or lacking awareness.
He should be doing more with that height, size, speed and strength that he has so that he can terrorize opposition defenses. I am not surprised by this story, because there are others newspapers linking Lukaku with an exit. I believe there are better alternatives to the big Belgian because he hasn’t shown that he is a constant threat to opposing teams. The United fans needs a striker who would not only fit the coach’s needs, but one who can be a better all-round player as well.
